Pineapple Pot
Transform an empty plastic bottle into a Pineapple Treat Box or fruity night light.
You will need:
 Scissors
 plastic bottle
 PVA glue
 glue stick
yellow & green tissue or crepe
paper
 tape
 craft knife
 paint (optional)
 LED light (optional)

Method

1. Measure a line around the bottle
approximately 10cmfrom the bottom and
cut.

2. Measure another line around the bottle
approximately 10cm from the top and
cut.

3. Cut another line around the base of the
top section,but do not cut all the way –
leave a 4cm hinge connected.

4. This hinge will allow you to open and
close the pot.

5. Tape the top and bottom sections
together.6. Glue or tape small beads around the
surface of the pot.

7. Cover the pot in yellow tissue paper.
Brush down each piece with PVA glue.

8. With the left over plasticfrom the
centre of the bottle, cut some leaf shapes.
Cut the leaves around the curve of the
bottle so they are rounded in shape.

9. Use the tip of the craft knife toslice
slits around the top of the pot.

10. Slide the leaves into the slits. Adjust
the height so the leaves stand up and look
like pineappleleaves.

11. Tape a final row of leaves around the
spout of the bottle.

12. Glue green tissue paper onto the
leaves. Brush extra coats of PVA to
strengthen.

14.Enhance the texture of the pineapple
by dry brushing or sponging a darker
yellow acrylic and then add white
highlights.

15. Find the hinge of the pot and
carefully cutaround the slit in the plastic.

16. Instead of a treat box, insert a small
LED light inside the pot and turn it into a
Pineapple Nightlight.
