Aristotle Literary Genres
Although literary genre has grown a lot, the major domain was created by Aristotle; these genres were lyric, drama, and epic. Here are the basiccharacteristics of these genres.
The lyric genre is focus on poetry, and it is often written in first person. Lyric genre is based on emotions; its author is usually trying to express an emotion.These emotions can go from love or grief to patriotism or celebration.
Drama genre comes alive trough it’s representation in a live set. It is formed of actors, a writer, a director,scenery, etc. Drama it’s focus on actions and expressing ideas or emotions of the writer through the actors.
The epic genre tells stories about great heroes and it is usually written ifthird person; it is set on a specific civilization. Sometimes they tell a complete live of certain hero. Early epic stories lacked of an author.
El género literario es un sistema quepermite la clasificación de obras literarias de acuerdo a criterios semánticos, sintácticos, fonológicos, discursivos, formales, contextuales, situacionales y afines. En la historia hahabido varias clasificaciones de los géneros literarios, por lo que no se puede determinar una categorización de todas las obras siguiendo un criterio común.
Los géneros literarios sonmodelos de estructuración formal y temática de la obra literaria que se ofrecen al autor como esquema previo a la creación de su obra. Los géneros literarios son los distintos grupos ocategorías en que podemos clasificar las obras literarias atendiendo a su contenido. La retórica clásica los ha clasificado en tres grupos importantes: lírico, épico y dramático. A éstosalgunos suelen añadir el didáctico.
