* Germany lies in the northern part of central europe and is bordered by nine countries:Poland, The Czech Republic, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Austria, Netherlands and Denmark.

* Germany can trace its hstorical back to the dawn ofmankind. Bones of prehistoric Neanderthal man were found in the Neander Valley near Dusseldorf
* Roman Empire
* Two thousand years ago much of Europe had been conquered by the Roman Empire* In the 15th century, the Hapsburg came to power, and controlled the empire for four hundred years
* In 1517 emerge Martin Luther whit his followers called Protestants and began the ThirtyYear War
* World War I and II
* In 1887 Germany was led into World War I by Kaiser Wilheim II, Germany was defeated
* In 1939 Hitler began his plan to conquer all of Europe,beginning the World War II. In April 1945 Germany was defeated
* West and East Germany
* Germany was separated in West and East Germany, the first one controlled by United States, Britain andFrance, and the second one by The Soviet Union.
* In 1990 East and West Germany signed a Unification Treaty
