VERB TO BE
To be is the most common verb in the English language. It can be used as an auxiliary or a main verb.

* Why are you sad? – Because I am sick.
* How are you? – I’m fine, thank

SIMPLE PRESENT
Use the Simple Present to express the idea that an action is repeated or usual. The action can be ahabit, a hobby, a daily event, a scheduled event or something that often happens. It can also be something a person often forgets or usually does not do.

Example
AFFIRMATIVE
I/we/you/they play basketball.
He/she/it plays basketball.
NOTE: he, she, it - Do not forget the -s.
NEGATIVE
We use the auxiliary do.

I/we/you/they do not play basketball.
He/she/it does not play basketballl.NOTE: We often use short forms in negative sentences in the Simple Present:
I/we/you/they don't play basketball.
He/she/it doesn't play basketball.

INTERROGATIVE

Do you read books? Yes, I do. - No, I don't.
Does Peter play basketball? Yes, he does - No, he doesn’t
* Information Questions
What do you play on your computer? I play games on my computer.When does your mother go to work? She goes to work at 6 o'clock.
Where do you meet your friends? I meet them at the bus stop

FREQUENCY ADVERBS
Adverbs of Frequency are Adverbs of Time that answer the question "How frequently?" or "How often?". They tell us how often something happens. Here are some examples:
a. daily, weekly, yearly
b. often, sometimes, rarely
You probably see adifference between a) and b) above. With words like daily we know exactly how often. The words in a) describe definite frequency. On the other hand, words like often give us an idea about frequency but they don't tell us exactly. The words in b) describe indefinite frequency.
We separate them into two groups because they normally go in different positions in the sentence.
