William Henry Gates III (He was born on October 28, 1955 in Seattle , Washington) , better known as Bill Gates, is an entrepreneur and philanthropist , co-founder of Microsoftsoftware , production operating system for personal computers used in most world, Microsoft Windows.

He is married to Melinda Gates, and both can hold the leadership of the Bill & Melinda GatesFoundation, dedicated to rebalancing opportunities in health and education at the local level , especially in disadvantaged regions , why have won the Prince Award Asturias International Cooperation 2006.It is the second richest man in the world according to Forbes Magazine (2011) with a fortune of 56 billion dollars
Created the software company Microsoft on April 4 , 1975, while still a student atHarvard University . In 1976 he left the university and moved to Albuquerque , home of Altair, to agree with that company the assignment of a language for computers, Basic, 50% of sales. The followingyear, he learned of the success of the company and that Apple needed a Basic interpreter
