INDEPENDENCE DAY
On the night of September 15, 1810 went down in history as one of the most significant events for our country, because at that time held the "Grito de Independencia" made starringthe Father of the Nation, Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla in the town of Dolores, Guanajuato.

By then,several of the conspirators had been arrested, but Dona Josefa Ortiz, during the night of 15 sent a message to the people of Dolores Hidalgo and advising others liberators about the imminent danger theywere.

Durante dos días, todo México celebra la iniciación de la Guerra de Independencia. En la noche del 15, miles de personas se concentran en el Zócalo y enlas calles de los alrededores, cerradas al tráfico desde la tarde. En esta fiesta están presentes los mariachis, las bandas musicales y docenas de vendedores haciendo negocio con todo tipo de antojitos,sombreros, silbatos, confeti, etc. El ambiente es realmente festivo, pues la gente ríe, canta y baila. Y a las once de la noche, la multitud se aproxima, expectante, al balcón de Palacio Nacional,desde donde el Presidente de la República da el grito (es decir, repite la arenga que el Padre Hidaigo pronunció en Dolores en 1810).
