Dear brethren, incorporated, candidates and associates of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary: receive from us our fraternal greetings. During this month, specifically the 14th of November, as a community, we celebrate the birthday of our founder, the Priest Saint John Eudes. Full of joy, we thank the HolyTrinity for the life of this illustrious apostle, missionary and pastor; let us start our prayer entrusting the Congregation, its members and its evangelization mission that takes place in the world. Under the intercession of St. John Eudes, recognizing his life in holiness, we ask the merciful Father, his grace, unity and perseverance in faith and love, to live all together with one heart.Along with St. John Eudes, our model of Pastor, let us pray together:

“I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. A hired man, who is not a shepherd and whose sheep are not his own, sees a wolfcoming and leaves the sheep and runs away, and the wolf catches and scatters them. This is because he works for pay and has no concern for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I will lay down my life for the sheep. 1) WORSHIP

Let us worship Jesus, the Good Shepherd, full of love for his sheep. He knows them and they know him. By serving them the Shepherd got tired and gave his life to save them.

“Divine and Holy Spirit of God, we ask you to bless and enlighten us, so, guided byyour Holy Grace, we can make this reading and this be the nourishment for our Christian life”.

Then, we will read, share and meditate a text from our Holy Founder Father, such a priest and pastor. This text can be founded in the St. John Eudes book, «A MEMORIAL OF THE ECCLESIASTICAL LIFE». 1: Oeuvres Completes 3, 24-31.

THE PRIEST, SHEPHERD ACCORDING TO GOD’S HEART
Who is a Pastoraccording to God’s Shepherd?
He is a true father of God’s people, with a heart full of fatherly love for his sons. This love compels him to work tirelessly to nourish them with the bread of the Word and the Sacraments, to be clothed of Jesus Christ and his Holy Spirit, to enrich them with all possible goods regarding their salvation and eternity. The pastor is an evangelist and apostle, whose mainmission is to announce incessantly, either in public or in private, with his example and the Word, the gospel of Jesus Christ, continuing on Earth the mission, life and virtues of the Apostles. He is the sacred spouse of the Church of Jesus Christ, filled with love for the Church and his desire is to beautify, decorate, enrich and make it worthy of the eternal and immortal love of the heavenly...
