Funciones gramaticales de las palabras
Verbo (Verb): Es una palabra que expresa acción, condición o estado de ser. En el inglés hay palabras que no solo sirven como verbo, pueden tener otra funcióngramatical dependiendo de la oración en la que se encuentren.
* She will fly to New York tomorrow.
* Adam is eating in a nice restaurant.
* They solve the math test.
* I was dancingin the academy yesterday.
* Elena married Mr. Salvatore Last Month.

Sustantivo (Substantive): Es una categoría gramatical con el que se denomina a las personas, lugares, objetos, animales ycosas.
* My house was built in 1989.
* The notebook that I use in class in broke.
* I walk in the park every afternoon.
* Mary’s dog plays with her all the time.
* My history teacheris tall and thin.

Adverbio (Adverbial): Es una palabra que modifica o da más sentido a un verbo, adjetivo o a otro adverbio. Existen varios tipos de adverbios:
* De tiempo: Tomorrow, today,yesterday, next week, tonight, soon. Se agregan al principio o al final de la oración.
* De frecuencia: Always, never, often, once a day.
* De Lugar: Here, there, above, everywhere.
* Demodo: Well, better, fast, carefully.
Entre otros.
Example:
* I always think about you.
* Today I have to study English.
* Andrew will go to the party tonight.
* Thefiremen were there when the disaster happened.
* Susie is working hard to buy a better house.

Adjetivo (Adjective): Palabra que modifica a un nombre, Sustantivo o pronombre. Generalmente, se colocaantes del sustantivo al cual modifica.
Existen muchos tipos, entre ellos:

* Determinativos: this, that, those/ every, each, either.
* Calificativos: Segun:
* Color: red, blue.
*Tamaño: big, small.
* Tiempo: modern, old.
* Condición: drunk, sober.
* Opinion: good, bad.
* Personalidad: honest, modest.
* Comparativos y superlativos: Good, better, the best....
