Definition of portfolio: It is a collection of activities documenting independent learning done beyond the classroom. Purpose: The portfolio will help the students to develop English language skills independently based on the performance objectives of the PII. Students will become aware of their needs and learning styles. To accomplish thesegoals learners will organize their work, manage their time and use learning strategies with the teacher’s guidance. The PII Curriculum is driven by Performance Objectives for each level. This document provides Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills for those objectives. These objectives should be used by instructors and by the students themselves to as a guide forlearning and assessment of learning.
