INTRODUCTION

In recent years is heard that a leader not only mean to order, be a leader is more complicated, is the art of setting goals for success and motivatesubordinates to achieve that work effectively with a coordinated team.

Our intention with this work is to know the qualities must possess or real leader and contribute to achieving human development of our citizens in a modern and competitive society

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

Know the qualities of a leader to develop them and bring them to put into practice and improve organization and administration ofeducative centers.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

To know the qualities that must possess a leader to guide his followers.

Improve the communication between the authorities and staff working in different institutions.

Give to our colleagues support material so that they can know and to put into practice the qualities of a leader.

JUSTIFICATION

The Challenge of "doing things differently"Things change in the world, and the changes affect us although we are not able to perceive, perhaps, for this reason, affect us more.

Change the traditional systems of organization of work, appear new ways of working that do not require the presence of physics of a leader.

The proponents must practice a clear leadership role; have a wide vision, a capacity of fluid communication and especiallythe ability to motivate staff, involving in the process of change.

In most cases when a process of change starts , staff are not consulted or even informed about what is being sought or what were the reasons to begin the change, although these are focused on solving educational problems will be resistance to the changes that are pretended.

Would be easier if change is informed adequately;Invite all school community to make appreciations to respect. So that to decrease the resistance, and would motivate of participation and the commitment to a new educational measure, advising teachers to train them technically.

The educational leadership born of the daily practice of educational administrators, the man who moves in a difficult environment, for human, social, and economicconditions pretend carry out projects, resolve conflicts, be innovative, seeking change, seeing the future hold in present time as a pioneer to break paradigms.

The educational leader must be willing to firmly confront all sorts of problems

LEADERSHIP

1 DEFINITION OF LEADERSHIP

Chiavenato, Idalberto (1993), point out the following:
"Leadership is interpersonal influence exercised in asituation pointed through the process of human communication to achieve of one or several specific objectives."

It is the ability to communicate with a group of people, influence in their emotions in order that they manage, share the ideas of the group, stay in it, and implement the actions or necessaries activities for the fulfillment of one or more goals.

According to Ralph M. Stogdil,said that "is understood as the managerial leadership to the process of directing the work activities of the members of a group and to influence in them.

Leadership involves other people and members of the group, given their willingness to accept the orders of the leader helps define the leader's position and allow the lapse of the leadership process.

Leadership is the process of influencingothers and supports them to work with enthusiasm in achieving common goals. It is defined as the ability to take initiative, manage, summon, promote, encourage, motivate and evaluate a group or team. It is the exercise of executive activity in a project, to an effectively and efficiently form.
