The long term effects of use of drugs results in physical ramifications, guilt, remorese, sexual activity, dropping out os school, problem behaviors, depression, suicide and delinquency.
*Physical Ramifications
Physical effects of drug abuse and addiction include dry skin, chronic sore throat, live and pancreas diseas, amother others.  In addition t the risk of overdose fot he abuser andthe tragic consequences of drug use for expectatnt mothers and their babies.  The drug abuser faces such physical ramifications as leukemia, heart attack, infertility, tissue damage andmalnutrition.Leukemia – Marijuana use raises the risk of nonlumphoblastic leukemia by eleven times.Heart Attack – Even small amount of shabu can decrease blood flow tot he heart, increasing the rsik of a heartattack.Infertitily – Long term use of shabu may be a major contributor to infertility in men. Tissue Damage - Inhalants destroy brain cells and damage tissue.  Shabu is among the drugs that causes long termlung damage, leading to emphysema.Malnutrition – Use of certain drugs such as shabu results in the loss of appetite, insomnia which sometimes results in malnutrition.  
* Guilt, Shame and RemorseA drug user and/or addict will often experience feeling of guilt, shame and reorse.  REgarless of how vehemently a drug abuser or adict may explain or defent his behavior, he will be often hanted byfeelings of inner guilt (an inner response to a wrong act), shame (a feeling of regret for the harm the person has caused something or someone else).  Such feeling may lead to repentance  -  or todespair and more abuse. 
* Sexual Activity
There is a correlation between drug use among youth and teen sexual activity.  The risk of engaging in sexual intercourse is highly dependedn on one’sdrug use status.  Among those who are sexually active, the frequency of sexual intercourse is consistently higher for those  who are involved in drug use.
