Responsibilities and rights of an employee and employer in a business

Responsibility of the employee
The employees just entering the work bear some responsibility to the company and society atlarge. Therefore the employees other than the qualifications required for the position must also have integrity, commitment, ethics and teamwork.
1) Be on time and avoid missing.
2) Knowing your joband assigned tasks.
3) Have a plan.
4) Report any injury or illness associated with the job the employer and seek treatment promptly.
5) Report any hazardous conditions to supervisor.
6) Complywith regulations and safety rules and legal health of the employer and to register or use the provided protective equipment while working.
7) The employee must give the employer a medical certificaterequired to register the legitimacy and the continuous nature of the absence. In general, the original certificate must be submitted at least 30 days before the start of the absence.
8) The employeemust ensure that the employer knows that the current absence is taken as FMLA and not by other law.
9) If possible, the employee should schedule FMLA leave in order to minimize disruption in theworkplace.

Responsibilities of the employer
Employers have certain responsibilities under the Act, Occupational Safety and Health (Occupational Safety and Health) 1970. The following list is a summaryofthe most important responsibility.
1) Provide a workplace free from serious recognized hazards and complying with standards, rules and regulations issued under the OSH Act.
2) Make sure employeeshave and use safe tools and equipment and check equipment correctly.
3) Keep records of injuries and illnesses associated with work. (Note: Employers with10 or fewer employees and employers in certainindustries are less risky exempt from this requirement.)
