Table manners: In Italy you may sit at the table only when the host do it. The host is how determine when start to eat. Maybe the host asks his guests start dinner, or just start eating.You shouldn´t putting your elbows on the table while eating. Keep your hands on the table during the meal. Do not lean on your lap as is customary in the U.S. Use your fork and knife for all foods,including fruits and cheese. Use your fingers to eat is considered rude in many situations. It is not uncommon that the fruit is eaten with fork and knife in Italy.
Visitor behavior: If you goshopping, they love to haggle. Be careful that you have to be very skillful. If given a ride on a "gongola" or carriage, could try to set the price before boarding, or could be a surprise. Tips inrestaurants and other services are well accepted.
Customs:
* Food: It is very common to meet the cuisine of Italy's most famous dishes, such as pizza, pasta and coffee,but they have a lot of food more, therisotto, the ravioli there are other examples.
