1 Short History of the Second World War
The Second World War (WWII) began in September 1, 1939 with the German invasion of Poland. Britain and France responded by declaring war against Germany onSeptember 3. . By these actions, the allies countries France, Britain, and the Soviet Union, declared war against the Axis Powers particularly Germany, Italy and Japan, in which the United States ofAmerica, British and Dutch colonies and other countries came together in the help of the allied forces. On December 7, 1941, Japan one of the Axis powers, bombed Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and immediately theUnited Sates declared war on Japan. On December 11, Germany and Italy, the other two power Axis, declared war to the United States. The World War II lasted until 1945 with the surrender of theJapanese Army to the Americans after the atomic bombardment to the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The World War II had been the greatest global military conflict in the history of humanity, with over 100million military mobilized in a state of “total war”, in which the contenders spent a huge amount of resources to serve the war efforts.
That was one of the reasons why that the American Army neededa vehicle all terrain with traction on the four wheels, to mobilize its troops in the battle fields of Europe and Asia.
