History
In 1955, as Governor of the State General Jesus Gonzalez Lugo and Director General of Education, Prof. Ricardo Guzmán Nava, was founded what was called the Single Bachelor, which began operating in what is now the Primary School , "Prof. Gregorio Torres Quintero."
The school opened with an enrollment of 30 students in the first year, among some of the professors whotaught classes are: Prof. Alfredo Ruiseco Avellaneda, Professor Macedo Gregorio Lopez, Esteban Mayor Aguilar, Prof. Jorge Portillo's Toro, among others. Most of the students enrolled were primary school teachers who wanted to continue studying.
In 1956 the school changed its facilities and was placed on the November 20th Av. In the 60s, worked in the building where it is currently the GraduateInstitute of Fine Arts (IUBA), Manuel Gallardo on the street.

When the school was located in its current building, with new provisions, it was changing its name to Téc Bachelor No. 1, this change opened the shifts morning, afternoon and evening, becoming a high school for six semesters.
On February 18, 2000, is assigned the name "Prof.. Gregorio Lopez Macedo "at Technical High School No. 1 inrecognition of this distinguished teacher, for his seminal work teaching at the University of Colima and honest journalistic work in the service of Colima.
Currently no.1 Technical High School has a student population of 1,200 students, divided into 24 groups and three areas of study: Bachelor of General, Technical Accounting and Technical Analyst Programmer.

Mission

Providing quality education focused on the student, reinforcing in him the values of discipline, respect, tolerance and communication, preparing them for their entry to higher level studies or entry into the field as technicians in Accounting, Analyst Programmer or developing baccalaureate level actions.

• Have students critical participative, reflective and knowledgeable about local and national issues.

Ser un bachillerato de prestigio, que se destaque por:
* Mantener una eficiencia terminal alta (más del 90%) .
* Tener alumnos participativos críticos, reflexivos y conocedores de la problemática localy nacional.
* Que obtengan los más altos resultados en los concursos y eventos académicos y culturales universitarios de su nivel, y destaquen en el deporte universitario de competencias.
* Tener la mejor planta de profesores del nivel medio superior, con autentica vocación para el trabajo docente
Tutorías
La tutoría es una práctica pedagógica y de beneficio mutuo bachilleratoestudiantes y como tal requiere de permanente seguimiento y evaluación con el fin de identificar sus resultados, implementar las modificaciones a que haya lugar y dinamizar el proceso, de acuerdo con las necesidades detectadas una vez puesto en marcha para, promover su mejoramiento continuo tanto cualitativa como cuantitativamente.
La tutoría es un servicio educativo y es una estrategia pedagógica,con el fin de apoyarlos y orientarlos en su proceso de formación integral. Por lo tanto, está dirigida a potenciar las capacidades de los estudiantes y fortalecer las debilidades surgidas en los procesos de aprendizaje.
