Kite Runner

Many times we lose time looking at insignificant things and don’t realize there are more important things in life. The bad side to that is that sometimes we realize too late. TheKite Runner is the hard truth of what really happens in Afghanistan. The protagonist Amir goes through many situations, problems and tragedies. That make him at one point grow as a person and say istime for me to change. The different stages that Amir goes are in his childhood (early years), pre-teen and adulthood.

Amir childhood was not that good. He had a friend name Hassan, that theirrelationship was really strong. They acted more like brothers. They had each other’s back. But sometimes Amir was afraid to show that Hassan was his real friend, because the pressure that society put onAmir. That’s why Amir is constantly test Hassan loyalty, to see if he is really his friend. Amir also resent Hassan, because Hassan is the kind of son that Baba would have wanted. And he is not likethat. The pomegranate tree was the thing that made them closer. They spend hours reading and playing. The tree was the one place that they loud be together without any problems. The Kite runningtournament was something really exiting for Baba, but Amir was still unhappy, because after the tournament Hassan got raped. All was because he was a hazard. That affected him a lot, made him change isperspective. After all the bullying and that Baba wanted him to be more like Hassan, there was a breaking point and Amir didn’t want to be Hassan friend. And said that he stole a watch, and Hassanfather told them they had to leave.

The pre-teen years of Amir were not that easy. His relationship with Baba didn’t get better. Baba still wanted him to stand up for himself. When they get to America,there life changes drastically; they don’t have the same economical position and different culture. Amir sacrificed the relationship with his brother because of Baba.
