Video Gaming and Violence

In this technological era that we live nowadays, video games have became a massive way of entertainment for little kids, teenagers and, also, grown people. There aremany types of video games, of sports, educational, fights, and these have turned into a habit in people’s life. We, also, should say that too much time, spend, playing these games can be very bad forplayers. So, are video games good or bad? Can these games affect people’s behavior or attitudes?.
Videogames can be good as bad, these games have different purposes (to educate, for example), butI think that the final decision is taken by the own player, because it depends on what player wants to play and their own likes. So, anybody can judge a game and determine if it is totally good orbad.
On one hand, we have the ‘’good games’’, we can call them like this, because these games can be used in many ways, for example, to educate. When we play the war game called ‘’Call of Duty’’,we are learning how was de First world war in that moment of history, or even sports games, such as rugby or football, that playing those games, can teach you about the rules of the sport and ,whynot, to improve your own performance in real life. Also, these games force players to make decisions, learn rules and think faster, and this improves their mentally capacity and makes games satisfying.On the other hand, there are the ‘’bad games’’, called like that, because they often have controversial material which is not allowed for children. A clear example, is the game ‘’Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas’’, a very popular game, because of the sexual material, the violence inside the game and the constant violent scenes. In this game you can go and kill someone in the street, or in themissions, you have to kill people, be a gangster or deal drugs. The age rating of this game in America is over 17s only, but nowadays, a lot of children between 4 and 12 years spend a lot of hours...
