1. Are you aware that the first biological war was waged in America? Do you know where and against whom? R= The first biological war was when The Spaniards where fighting against the Aztecs, thislast group acquire diseases that where terrible and unknown for them, like smallpox, which Spaniards carry with them.
2. How did the Spaniards react to de cleanliness in the city of Tenochtitlan? R=They were marveled when they see Tenochtitlan, specially of its cleanliness and the fact that they have not such a clean civilization.
3.-What elements are needed to create gunpowder? How did Cortésfind them here?
R=The elements to create gunpowder are: sulfur, charcoal, and saltpeter. Cortés find them in Mexico because when he was going to the Mexico’s valley, he made what is now “El paso deCortés” and through this way he passed between “Popocatépetl” and “Iztaccíhuatl” volcanoes, which later he explore and find sulfur there.
4.-What are the main differences between Spanish and Azteceducation? R= The Aztec education was given depending on the social level of the citizen, for the noble ones there was the Calmecac where basically they acquire knowledge to be priest. The otherschool (Telpochcalli)was for the citizens that had lower social level (macehuales) and they acquire knowledge for being soldiers. An Spanish education was basically for the rich people, the ones thatweren’t, could not go to the school.The Aztec education was divided into two different schools the Calmecac that was for the rich people mainly to become priests and warriors.
