Leonid Afremov (nacido en Vitebsk, en 1955) es un pintor bielorruso. Sus pinturas generalmente son paisajes y figuras coloreados vívidamente; usualmente pintados usando paleta y pinturaal óleo.

Afremov se graduó de la Vitebsk Art School, fundada por Chagall en 1921 y que tuvo notables personalidades como Kazimir Malevich y Wassily Kandinsky. Cuando descubrió que sólo la propagandacomunista se vendería en la Unión Soviética, Afremov se mudó a Israel en 1990. Al cabo de dos semanas, encontró un trabajo en una agencia de publicidad pintando carteles, pero en las vísperas de unaexhibición, su estudio fue destruido y vandalizado.[1] Después que su galería de arte fuera vandalizada por judíos ortodoxos, Leonid se mudó a los Estados Unidos.

Actualmente vive en Playa DelCarmen, México.

Afremov graduated from Vitebsk ArtSchool, which was founded by Marc Chagall in 1921 and has had many notable patrons including Kazimir Malevich and Wassily Kandinsky. After discovering that only communist propaganda posters would sellin the Soviet Union, Afremov moved to Israel in 1990.
