The national flag of Ireland is a vertical tricolor compound of: green (at the hoist), white (at the center), and orange (at the other host). It is also known as the Irish tricolor. The flagproportion is 1:2 (length twice the width). The Irish government has described the meaning behind each color with green representing the Gaelic tradition of Ireland, orange representing the followers ofWilliam of Orange in Ireland, and white representing peace, or a truce, between them.
The predominant religion in Ireland is Christianity, with the largest church being the Roman Catholic Church.Ireland's constitution states that the state may not endorse any particular religion and guarantees freedom of religion

Irish Music is the generic term for music that has been created in various genres onthe island of Ireland.
The indigenous music of the island is termed Irish traditional music. It has remained vibrant through the 20th, and into the 21st century, despite globalizing cultural forces.In spite of emigration and a well-developed connection to music influences from Britain and the United States, Irish music has kept many of its traditional aspects and has itself influenced many formsof music, such as country and roots music in the USA, which in turn have had some influence on modern rock music. It has occasionally been fused with rock and roll, punk rock and other genres. Someof these fusion artists have attained mainstream success, at home and abroad.
