Malargue
First, I`m going to provide information about it`s location and geographical characteristics.Them, I`m going to speak about some of the places that tourists visit, one of the legends connected to the area and, finally, the trip I made to this place some time ago.
1. Malargüe is one of thedepartaments of our province, in the South west. The town is 420 km from the capital city. The climate is cold and dry, there are humid winds coming from the Pacific but the Andes mountains are likea barrier and so the wet winds don`t blow into Mendoza. Becuase of this there are no trees, just shrubs. Is there a place like this in England? Yes? What`s the name?
2. There are so manybeautiful places that tourism is the most important activity. Tourists go and fly-fish in the rivers and streams, ski in the Las Leñas resort, visit the Payunia reserve with volcanoes, Castillos dePincheira or the Witches Cave. People also enjoy Ealing “chivito”, (baby goat) bird watching in Laguna de Llancanelo and visiting the Observatory.
3. There are lots of legends connected with theplace. One legend is connected with the “Well of Souls”, a well surrounded by mountains where you can hear a whisthing sound caused by the wind. The legend says that some indians from Chile came tofigth the local indians. The next day the Chilean indias disappeared and two wells appeared. The legend says that the Chilean indians are still crying. Are there any famous legends in England? Yes? Whatare they about?
