THE TELEVISION
Television is a system for transmitting and receiving moving images and sound at a distance that employs a diffusion mechanism. Transmission can be effected byradio waves, television networks, cable satellite TV or IPTV. The receiver is the TV signals.
The word "television" is a hybrid of the Greek τῆλε (tele, "far") and the Latinvisiōnem (Visio accusative "Vision"). This term was first used in1900 by Constantin Perski at the International Congress of Electricity in Paris (CIEP).
