“Every time I smoke a cigarette I feel I am flying and all my problems go away” a friend of mine says this phrase every time she smokes. In 1492, when Christopher Columbus arrived to America, he saw indigent people smoking dried tobaccoleaves which were rolled up by a tube called Tobago. After that, Columbus’ crew started to cultivate tobacco plants and smoke cigarettes in Spain. Later, in the middle of the XVI century, tobacco smokingwas introduced to France and England, and a century later was taken to China, Japan, and Africa. During the World War II, doctors recommended soldiers to smoke cigarettes in order to keep themawake; they included cigarettes in their provisions. Smoking cigarettes is dangerous for your health. Tobacco smoking is killing people all around the world every year, and its effects are too dangerousthat advertisements don’t care about them and keep on making people spend their money buying cigarettes.

According to some investigations, smoking cigarettes produces a lot of negative effects tohuman body that can cause mortal diseases such as lung cancer, heart attack, hypertension, ulcers, Alzheimer, and respiratory problems. About heart disease, all smoke contains particulates thatpenetrate the alveolar wall into the blood and make the heart stop working. All these diseases are produced for the nicotine in big quantities that people inhale when they are smoking. The nicotine is thewhite smoke that goes out from a cigarette when you smoke it, and it acts as a stimulant affecting to the nervous system. It can produce addiction to some people because today it is considered adrug. Also, it causes anxiety and some people lose weight because it decreases appetite.
