Introduction



The English portfolio it is a language portfolio that helps students to see their progress in the class by collecting the most representative samples of work.
In this portfolio I will showall the work done during the trimester with their respective corrections, which include the activities and topics seen in class.
The English portfolio provides the followings benefits:
a) It is an organizer for keeping students’ samples of work and materials used in class.
b) It helps students to see their progress along time.
c) It helps students to make selections about what idrelevant and not relevant for their own learning, and be more critical about what for them and what doesn’t.
d) Its helps students discover their creativity.
e) It helps students to identify their strengths and weaknesses in the process of learning and be able to correct their mistakes with the help of teacher.
















First Conversation StrategiesRicardo: Ooh, it´s hot today.
Jennyfer: Yeah, it is. But I like this weather because you can go to the beach.
Ricardo: Yeah! it is true but now this weather is irritable, it’s too hot!
Jennyfer: yes, and there are a lot of people out here today.
Ricardo: Do you live around here?
Jennyfer: yes I live near the mall multiplaza, actually. How about you?
Ricardo: I live in LaEsperanza, so the weather is very cold. Right now I have to go to the college because I have an exam.
Jennyfer: Do you come here on the bus?
Ricardo: No, I walk, actually. It takes an hour.
Jennyfer: Do you have a lot of homework?
Ricardo: No. we started the class yesterday. And you what do you do in your free time? I mean, do you have any hobbies?
Jennyfer: um, no. I don’t really havemuch time for hobbies. But I like to exercise with my best friend. How about you?
Ricardo: I really enjoy exercising. Are you interested in sports?
Jennyfer: I don’t really have much time for playing sports. I don’t have time for others thing and I’m so tired.
Ricardo: Really? How come?
Jennyfer: Well, I have two exams today so I couldn’t sleep well. You look so tired too. Are youbusy at work?
Ricardo: No way! I slept all day and I watched TV last night.
Jennyfer: you’re kidding me. I need free time to sleep too.

Jennyfer: Hi guys, are you going to Patrick’s party next Friday? I mean Bob’s Birthday?
Ricardo: did you say next Friday?
Jennyfer: Yes, it’s going to be next Friday at 7:00, no, wait......
