The Ostrich is the bird greater than it has managed to survive to the present time. Like the other great birds - the ñandúes, the casuarios and the emú - belong to the group of birds known like the rátidas ones. These birds, including a the ostrich, characterize themselves by not being able to fly. They have adapted to a terrestrial life, the legs have them well developed and strong.
