1 This study was to use all our knowledge’s in the reading, understanding and comprehension of a case study and develop a report with a process of investigation and with our means. The main findings were that analyse the case study about Kea Campers (New Zealand) Limited where it explains an important business operation focuses in a market’s expansion, using the SWOT analysis we can see the most important point developed in this case study. How conclusion it explains the success achieved for the company in this operations, which have an important meaning.

1. Introduction 1.1 Company history Kea campers was born in 1995 when Grant Brady met Michael Becker through their children’s play centre. Grant was builder in New Zealand and Michael had moved to New Zealand from Germany looking for a business related with the Germany tourism, which it used to travel in campervans and motorhomes. At the beginning, the company name was “New Zealand cheeky south island alpine parrot” at this stage was a business much more familiar that today, both families spent his time organizing staff, doing the accounting, washing even building vehicles. 15 years later “It’s a multinational tourism operation with more than 1,200 luxury campervans and motorhomes across Australia, New Zealand and Southern Africa” (Literacy description from his website) 1.2 Objectives The main objective of this report is to analysis this company from marketing point of view. The information given from the case study “doing business across the ditch” will be essential to analysis and discuss the company KEA CAMPERS (NEW ZEALAND) LIMITED 1.3 Scope The scope used in this report is based in a business operation and in the pursuit of whether if profitable or not. Therefore this report examines all the factors related with this company looking to Asses the company property from his history to the development of the operation 2 Methodology The method used in this report aims to obtain the most accurate information to develop an analysis of the company, which want to penetrate in a new market. Once we get the information and it is ready to be used we have to choose one of the three tools: In the first place, the five competitive forces (Michael Porter) who explain the importance of the Buyers and suppliers in a side and the potential entrants and the substitute’s product in another side.

Secondly the PESTEL analysis looking for review the important factors around the company like Political, economic, social and technological factors. And last but not least the swot analysis, which will be used in this report to explain the strength, weaknesses, threats and the opportunities that the company presents.
