One of the most famous mathematicians of all time is Pythagoras of Samos. The formal demonstration Pythagorean Theorem is his greatest contribution to mathematics. Eventhough, this theorem was not developed by him. The Life of Pythagoras can be divided into two main parts: the Pythagorean Brotherhood and contributions of mathematics. Pythagoras of Samos was a Greekmathematician. He was born on the island of Samos in the year 582 B.C and died in Meataponto 507 B.C. Pythagoras is best known for the Pythagorean Theorem, which actually belongs to the Pythagorean Schooland not just to Pythagoras. Little is known about Pythagoras’s childhood. However, the Pythagorean Brotherhoodand not only Pythagoras were the first to be traced a formal demonstration of the theorem.
