Plan Of A Class
(It is supposed that Ss have already learnt the parts of the face last class)
Topic: my face
Objectives: to promote interaction in English, to recycle lexis, to learnadjectives like BIG, SMALL,LONG and SHORT; to learn have got and has got and set grammatical differences bt them, to practice Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading.
Teaching strategies:
PREPARATION• Recycling vocabulary about the parts of the face: T asks Ss to open their books on page 40. T asks them if they remember the parts of the face they´ve learnt last class. T asks SS to point at thepart of the face she says on the picture. (¨point at the nose¨, ¨ can you show me the nose? ¨, ¨Franco can you show me? ¨, etc.). Ss show her the parts of the face.
• Introducing newvocabulary(adjectives): T sticks 2 pictures of sth big and small on the bb. She asks them what is it? What is the difference between them? (One is big and the other is small! Ss say. ¨yes, one is big and the other issmall¨, ¨this is big¨, ¨this is small¨. Then T sticks images of sth long and short and does the same.
Then T sticks pictures of the parts of the face on the bb and she points to one of them asking ¨isit big or small?¨(¨it´s small¨, Ss say), then T does the same with the rest of the images.
• Introducing new vocabulary(verb ¨to have¨affirmative form). T poits at her eyes and asks them ¨are theybig or small?¨ and Ss answer ¨big¨. T says ¨I have got big eyes¨¨repeat¨ while she writes it on the bb, ¨what about my nose?¨, Ss answer ¨long¨. T says ¨I have a long nose¨ and so on.
Then T asks a Sto come to the board (she´s going to compare herself with the S) ¨Flavia, can you come to the board?¨. T says ¨look, I have got big eyes¨but SHE has got small eyes. T writes the sentence on the bb.¨I have got short hair¨¨she has got long hair¨ and so on. Once the T has written the sentences on the bb, T asks them to read them. After that T asks them to notice any difference among the...
