Plantas
Introduction:
All plants undergo in a process called photosynthesis. In this process plants use the sunlight in order to produce their own food and get energy during theday. During the night plants breathe by taking oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide. They also undergo by the process of transpiration by while the stomata opens in order to gain CO2, water and mineralsabsorbed by roots are spread along the plant to the leaves. In this process water is evaporated through the stomata while it is open.
Objective:
For this experiment the main aim is to understandand analyze how different factors such as light, amount of oxygen, and humidity are able to influence in the process of breathing and transpiration in plants, and how these different factors caninfluence the stomata and its behavior.
Process:
For this experiment three plants would be considered. Taking plastic bags as only variables. Two plants would be completely covered by differentplastic bags, one transparent plastic bag and the second plant by a dark plastic bag. The third plant would be under normal conditions. A hypothesis would be established for the three different plants. After two days some conclusions would be drawn, then compared to the hypothesis and see if it is true, if not a new statement based on the conclusions would be done.
Hypothesis:
The hypothesesestablished for this experiment are:
* The plant covered by the transparent plastic bag would do transpiration, so many water drops would be evaporated. As a result the water drops would be all aroundthe plastic bag.
* The plant covered by the dark plastic bag would not do transpiration. As a result in the dark bag there would not be water drops.
* The plant covered by the dark plastic bagwould be dead, because it would not reach enough sunlight to do photosynthesis. As a result the plants would change color and go darker.
* The plants would present different sizes.
