A greenhouse gas is a gas in an atmosphere that absorbs and emits radiation within the thermal infrared range. This process is the fundamental cause of the greenhouse effect. The primarygreenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere are water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. Greenhouse gases greatly affect the temperature of the Earth; without them, Earth'ssurface would be on average about 33 °C colder than at present. Since the beginning of the Industrial revolution, the burning of fossil fuels has substantially increased the levels of carbon dioxide in theatmosphere and with this the green house effects increases too and it has many bad effects like more drought and more flooding , less ice and snow, more extreme weather incidents and rising sealevel..
There are many residues which affect the greenhouse gases we find in our atmosphere, these are the municipal residues, industrial residues, mining and hospital residues.
Water pollution effectsthe ecosystem in many ways. One way is that it kills many aquatic plants animals and plants, it has almost made some species endangered. Another way is that this polluted water is drank by manyterristial animals and this many land animals also die. The atmosphere in large cities can be affected by thermal pollution due to vehicle exhausts and buildings being close together, also due to a largeamount of heating in winter and air conditioning in summer, so large cities tend to be warmer than the surrounding country areas.

Imeca (Índice metropolitano de calidad del aire) it help us in knowinghow contaminated a country or a region is, Smog is a type of air pollution and termal inversión occurs when a layer of warm air settles over a layer of cooler air that lies near the ground. The warmair holds down the cool air and prevents pollutants from rising and scattering.
