The present perfect continuous (part one)
USE 1 Duration from the past until now: We use this tense to show that something started in the past and has continued up to the present: an action orsituation that has just stopped or has recently stopped. "For ten minutes," "for two weeks," and "since Monday" are examples of time adverbials which can be used together with this tense andshow us how long something has been happening.
Has/have + been + present participle.
Examples (affirmative)
They have been talking for the last hour.
She has been working at that company forthree years.
USO 1- Duración desde el pasado hasta ahora: Utilizamos este tiempo verbal para señalar que algo comenzó en el pasado y ha continuado hasta el presente: una acción o situación queacaba de terminar o que hace poco que ha terminado. 'Durante diez minutos,' 'desde hace dos semanas,' y 'desde el lunes' son ejemplos de adverbios de tiempo que se pueden utilizar conjuntamente coneste tiempo verbal y nos indican cuanto tiempo algo ha estado sucediendo.
Ejemplos (afirmativo)
Han estado hablando durante la última hora.
Ha estado trabajando para la empresa desde hace tresaños.
The Present Perfect is a compound tense; it is formed by conjugating the verb "to have" in the present tense and the past participle of a verb. In the example of the dialogue above, thepast participle "forgotten" is the main verb, while "have" is the auxiliary verb.
I have lost my umbrella. (I don't have it at present)
Ow! I have burnt myself. (A little accident an instantago)
El presente perfecto es un tiempo compuesto; se forma conjugando el verbo "have" en el presente y el pasado participio del verbo. En el ejemplo del diálogo de más arriba, el pasadoparticipio "forgotten" es el verbo principal, mientras que "have" es el verbo auxiliar.
