Nahuizalco
The first town to be reachedfrom Sonsonate is Nahuizalco which in Nahuatl means "The four Izalcos". The people of El Salvador is famous for its handicrafts and furniture made of reeds and wicker. Another attraction is the nightmarket at dusk the lights of the village and craft sales are lit only by candles.

Salcoatitan
Salcoatitan is the second destination. His name means City of Quetzalcoatl. Salcoatitan was the placewhere they hold the first coffee plantations in the country in the 1860s. Salcoatitan is also recognized by the number of craft shops similar to Resume, however usually visits him in passing andalthough recently their choices of restaurants and galleries have grown considerably.

Juayua
Juayua the Nahuatl word that means River of Orchids Mansions. Juayua is a charming city where you can enjoy agood whole weekend or just visiting for the day. There are a considerable number of small hotels at affordable prices and hosts a permanent food festival every weekend for over 13 years.

So thereare several eco-tourist attractions in the area such as walking to the jets of Calera, the Monterrey River basin and the lagoon dry or frogs. The Black Christ Church is a Catholic building over 500years old, where they worship the Black Christ. In front of it a park following the colonial style that marks most towns and cities.

Apaneca
It is the highest city in El Salvador. Instead ofcultivating one of the best and most awarded coffee given their height, presents a picturesque landscape with tile-roofed houses and stunning views of mountains and hills. Apaneca in Nahuatl means river ofwind and that reason is what has been tagged implementation of wind barriers along its mountainous chain that forms part of the visual appeal of the area.
