General Definition Chinese New Year

Better known in China as the Spring Festival or Lunar New Year is the most important traditionalfestival of the Chinese calendar year, the celebrations begin on the first day of the first lunar month and ends on the fifteenth. The Chinese New Yearfalls on the day of the new moon nearest between 21 and 23 December. For example, this year marks the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Dragon, this 2012Chinese New Year or Spring Festival falls on January 23 and runs until February 9, 2013. The main event is a parade of the lion and the dragon will be heldin Madrid, Spain, with dances accompanied by other animals.

Ching Ming Festival

The Ching Ming Festival is held each year in early April, its mainpurpose is to honor the dead by cleaning graves and the offering of food and wine, The Ching Ming Festival has been held in China for thousands of years.The practice of honoring the deceased is said to have originated in 636 BC. elebraciones today are modest, and even get the family as a tribute to thedeceased. Families travel together to the cemetery and the tomb sweeping dead leaves and direct accumulated during the winter, and often wash with soap andwater as well. Candles and incense are lit and prayers are said for the dead. It is common for young children to fly kites and adults to sing and dance.
