Amongst myriad variables that intervene in the configuration of a conflict, low levels of governance tend to regularly generate more suitable conditions for a sustained growthin illicit manifestations within a convulsed State. This in turn sets a detrimental atmosphere where the disintegration of the political system often follows suit and ultimately reverts into overallvolatility that swiftly contagions all spheres of society; one could seemingly argue the Arab Spring emerged following such a design. Now a full-fledged civil war engulfs the entire Syrian ArabRepublic, as voiced by the International Committee of the Red Cross. A constellation of rebel armed groups is challenging the government’s stability in a frantic bid for absolute power, fuelled through anetwork of bordering proxy States instructed by influential Western partners. Their dynamics at play seem to indicate a pattern of endorsing forceful escalation of conflict as means of resolution; in thiscase, deterring our grand Council’s strive for a politically negotiated settlement that meets the aspirations of the Syrian people, and thus ensuing in a deadlock the Russian Federation has resolvedto defeat. Additionally, despair has been systematically instilled in the population through a unilateral economic blockade steered by an alignment of foreign powers that relentlessly pursueaggravation of the already diminishing governance indicators. Alarmed by this, our government has engaged in the monumental task of relieving their plummeting markets by brokering a Free Trade Agreementbetween Syria and the Customs Union while arranging for need-based bilateral commercial endeavors. Moreover, our delegation has steadfastly condemned the disproportionate use of force by the nationalleadership, but deeply regrets the criminal advances of warmongering extremists operating under the aegis of the Free Syrian Army, in lights of their blatant withdrawal from Annan’s Six-Point Peace Plan;...
