The History of Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia traces its roots back to the earliest civilizations of the Arabian Peninsula. Over the centuries, the peninsula has played an important role in history as an ancient trade center and as the birthplace of Islam, one of the world’s major monotheistic religions.
Since King Abdulaziz Al-Saud established the modern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932,its transformation has been astonishing.
In a few short decades, the Kingdom has turned itself from a desert nation to a modern, sophisticated state and a major player on the international stage.
On September 23, 1932, the country was named the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, an Islamic state with Arabic as its national language and the Holy Qur’an as its constitution.
Crown Prince Prince Salman binAbdulaziz
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz was designated Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and appointed Deputy Prime Minister, by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz on June 18, 2012, upon the death of Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz. Crown Prince Salman also serves as Minister of Defense.
Since 1956, Prince Salman has chaired varioushumanitarian and service committees that provide relief from natural and man-made disasters. For his humanitarian services, he has been awarded many medals and decorations, including awards from Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Morocco, Palestine, the Philippines, Senegal, the United Nations, Yemen, and the King Abdulaziz Medal - First Class.http://www.saudiembassy.net/about/country-information/history.aspx
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The 30th f Shaaban 1427, corresponding to the 23rd of September 2006, will be the 76th anniversary of the Kingdom's National Day. In this day in year 1932, history has recorded the birth day of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This came as a result of a long and hard struggle led by King Abdulaziz bin Abdurrahman al Saud within a period of 32 years afterrecapturing Riyadh city, the capital of his ancestors that was on the 15th of January 1902.
A Royal Decree to unite all parts of the Kingdom was issued on the 17th of Jumada Al Uola 1351 the new name given to the kingdom was "Kingdom of Saudi Arabia". King Abdulaziz chose the 23rd of September to be celebrated as the National Day of the kingdom.
Seventy five years have passed, full of achievements inthis country, the corner stone of which was laid by the late King Abdulaziz and hid decedents continued to do so after him.
In 1937, oil was produced in commercial quantities in the Eastern Region thereby increasing the wealth of the country which in turn contributed to the development of the Kingdom and its welfare. The Saudi Arabian Monetary Fund was then Established. The King also ordered thatagricultural equipment should be bought and distributed among farmers. Asphalt roads were also constructed and a railway line was also established to link Riyadh with Dammam.

USA: USA is an ally of Saudi Arabia despite the fact that the terrorists of 9/11 came from S.A. Since the gulf war, when S.Adecided to support U.S instead of Iraq, they have trade relations. S.A. earned a lot of money they made off of U.S. oil sales. They have good relation , and every time barrier appeared (like the Arab-Israel conflict, World War II, the Cold War Gulf War I and II, and the War on Terror) they overcome and recover together.
Jordan: Relations with Jordan became strained in the years following the PersianGulf War. Relations were mended in 1996 when Prince Abdullah visited the country. The countries have since met and discussed international development and the Arab situation.
Yemen: The two countries generally enjoy good relations and closely cooperate in military, economic and cultural issues. Saudi Arabia has two main goals in Yemen:
