Genitourinary
Infection tract is one of the most commonconditions of childhood. UTI involve the urethra and bladder(lower urinary tract), ureters, renal pelvis, calyces and renal parenchyma (upper urinary tract). UTI is applied to the presence ofsignificant numbers of microorganism anywhere within the urinary tract, except the distal third of the urethra, which is usually colonized with bacteria. Females have a higher risk for developing UTI.This coincides with toilet training and establishing voiding habits.
