Society and its perfections
It's amazing the amount of time we spend on our looks, our things, and it's evenmore impressive the amount of time that we use on trying to be like someone else, trying to copy famous people, their clothes, cars, jewelry, houses, etc. Society gives us the image of a perfectbody, family, mind, social status, on the top of that, it is supported by the social networks, for sample Facebook. Through Facebook we can look what appears others people's perfect lives and we believethe lies and start feeling sorry about our lives.
Society separates us in groups, some more "important" than others. However the truth is that everyone is important, each and every one of us play anunique role in our society, or at least that's what we tell ourselves. But reality is different. What we think about ourselves defined our role and usually we want to be on the top so we copy thosewho we think are on the top. According to Markway (2012), "some of his clients compare how they feel on the inside to how others look on the outside. He says that we continue to judge ourselvesaccording to our own biased perceptions".(p.1). We try to make everything perfect but we can't and there's when frustration comes in. (Markway, G. 2012)
Since we are young we let everyone and everythinginfluence our lives and decisions: family, friends, teachers, religion, society, famous people, fashion, trendy things... Nowadays something that has marked and changed our lives is Facebook, Facebookhas opened new ways of gossip, ways that can make us feel bad about ourselves, Facebook shows us people sharing snapshot of good moments and automatically we feel bad about our lives. (Markway, G. 2012,p.1)
Society has these parameters and line, and if you step out of them, you're wrong and straightway you're a freak and you can't fit in. You have to have the perfect family, perfect house,...
