BULLS IN SPAIN

HISTORY ABOUT THE BULLFIGHTING
Bulls are one of the most famous Spanish traditions around the world and also
the most controversial.
This festival would not exist if there weren’t bull. The origin of this breed of bulls
found in the primitive urus or forest dwelt not only in Spain, but it is in this
country where he found his favorite seat; preserved tothis day. In other
regions, where he had lived in ancient times, ended up being a kind
exterminated by a variety zoological considered archaic.

temple of its kind in the province of Soria, close to Numancia, where there is
evidence of the celebration ofthese rites.
It is however true that the Roman influence with his love of the circus, was of
great importance in the sense of emphasizing the character of the show and get
rid of the prominence as a religious ritual and sacrifice. Being so this fiction
circus another precedent of our bullfights.
The only historical exception to the continuity in the celebration of Spanish
bullfighting and hisfondness for the same is found in Muslim Spain, where such
celebrations were banned considered abominable. But medieval Spain keeps
the show, but otherwise, as a sport of the nobility.

The feudal lord, to horseback and armed with a long cane, as a spear, keep a
fighting bull, demonstrating her ability and skills of a good horseman. This kind

bullfighting. This we find today a historical curiosity that the distinguished
“rejoneador” (bullfighter riding, linked to the oldest tradition and origins of

Bullfighting as we know them today are born in theeighteenth century, when
the nobility abandoned bullfighting on horseback and the mob gets going it on

how an elitist sport becomes commoner. At first there were no thirds, no rules

party and the creator of the crutch as we know it today.
Spainhas a large number of amateur bullfighting. They see the race as a
beautiful show, an art and a manifestation of ancient culture that has survived
to this day, like the bull. The public focuses on the bullfighter who is applauding
the most artistic movements at times that any individual, to a bull, would have
no desire to leave the forms and to run.
