AN INTRODUCTION

We are going to talk about the influence of the politics in the culture. Of course everybody knows that art born from the different politics ideologies and the most important art always emerged when thesociety is in a bad political situation like a dictatorship and different repressive systems.
On the other hand culture is driving in many cases from the government. We are talking about the freedom of expression in different fields, like cinema, painting, music, literature, etc. Nowadays is supposed that we live in a freedom society where we can express everything without problems in all kindof fields. However, our society not always has this kind of cool situation. Like everybody knows during repressive politics systems all different kinds of expressions ways are supervised by the government. We will talk about the consequences of this kind of periods in culture, when somebody repress you then you really need to express you in so many different ways.
In this essay we are talkingabout “La movida madrileña” (“The Madrilean Wave”). This is an important cultural wave that born in Spain after the Franco’s dictatorship and during our accommodation ages to the democracy. With this movement all the punk, pop, rock cultures appeared in our society. This is one period in our culture that we can explain like the consequences of our repression during the dictatorship, some importantartists from this age said sentences like: “Before “la movida” Madrid was in black and white then It’s like an explosion of colors”.
This cultural movement was so important in all fields of art not only in music but also in movies, paintings, photography, etc. We can say that this movement was an important revolution in all fields of art that we can imagine. Finally the freedom arrived to ourcountry and of course, we had to take advantage.
So we are going to study the reasons and consequences of this cultural wave in Spain during seventies and eighties.

THEORICAL PART

At first we should define “culture”. There are a lot of researches in the social sciences who have studied about it. We can mention from Rousseau to more actual authors like Raymond Williams, Stuart Hall, etc.Raymond Williams: the evolution of the culture’s concept.
We are going to explain the theory from Raymond Williams about the concept of culture. Until the Illustration culture was seem like a concept related with different fields of knowledge, like culture of animals, culture of agriculture, culture of religion, etc. But when the Illustration appeared everything changed, all the philosophersstarted studying about the reason. With this study about the reason the concept of culture changed and star meaning about interior life of people: art, religion, manners, etc.
Later with the Industry Revolution the definition of culture stop having individual meaning to be considered as a social, anthropological and sociological.
Finally we can say that culture belongs to the individual areafrom the people cause of set of values but also belongs to the social area from the humanity because culture talks about different institutions bound to common values.

Stuart Hall: Different subculture and the concept.
On the other hand we can talk about the theory from Stuart Hall about subcultures and their different origins.
There are so many theories about the origin of the subcultures....
