Tumbas de tiro
Las Tumbas de Tiro, una cultura, un conjunto de rasgos culturales interconectados entre sí localizados en los estados mexicanos de Nayarit,Jalisco y Colima. Se estima que se desarrolló entre los años 200 a.C. y 600 d.C.
Su estructura consiste en un pozo aproximadamente de entre 2 y 16 metros de profundidad puede ser rectangular o circular. Adentro de ésta se encuentran varias cámaras que contendrán ofrendas y el cadáver, las cámaras están comunicadas entre sí con pequeños túneles donde se han encontrado elementos de ceremonia queacompañan al cuerpo.
Después de terminado el sepulta miento, se cierra toda comunicación entre el tiro y la cámara, se llena de tierra el tiro para así no quedar ninguna huella de la tumba. Por lo general este tipo de tumbas (de tiro) albergan a varias personas aunque la tumba depende de:
*Calidad del subsuelo
*Categoría social de la(s) persona(s) enterrada(s) ahí.
