THE POWER OF DECISIONS

After the debate we had in written and oral expression last Tuesday, and after have checked the pros and cons on the topic meat-eating it was necessary to expose an increasein the pro-vegetarian thinking. Most of the students agreed that meat-eating was harmful for the animals and the planet itself, the religious, the cultural and the earth concern points were discussedand all the conclusions pointed to the need for the society to make the decision on becoming vegetarian.

Taking into account the increase of the pollution in a big part produced by the meatindustry because of the methane gas, it was proved that if society reduced or even better stopped the meat consume, pollution will decrease in considerable ways making the environment more friendly tohumans and non-humans animals; in the other hand of the problem it was concluded that a vegetarian diet avoided of any animal products or derivatives is possible and healthier than a meat based diet andthat is affordable for anyone who considers the ethical treatment of animals and the improve of environment and wish to do something about the cruelty with which we treat our co-habitants thereforethe only con in this point was the lack of vitamins that the lack of animal products may produce but it is proved that if you complement your veg diet with vitamin pills you’ll not have any kind ofproblem and you can even reduce heart diseases risk and increase you average life, in what refers to religious points there was a contradiction in thoughts because the average religion was Catholicismand the exposed point was that animals were created only with human feeding purposes which is non-ethic because animals as alive creatures with a nervous central system developed enough to suffer andenjoy, deserve to live in human conditions and have also rights as people do, so in that way the argument of the Catholicism is out of context and contradicts itself by promoting love to each other...
