Purpose: To inform the audience about sharks

Thesis: Today I will discuss some facts about sharks. I’ll be talking mostly of 3 types of sharks, the tiger shark, the hammer-head sharkand the great white shark.

A. Attention Getter : Have you ever been face to face with a shark orknown where they are most of the time?
B. Relevance : Sharks are very dangerous animals, you never now when you might encounter one in the open sea, and most of the time people wouldn’t knowwhat to do if they themselves with one.
C. Credibility : Although sharks are one of my biggest fears when it comes to the ocean, they are also one of my favorite animals, learning about them madesharks more fascinating.
D. Thesis : Today I will discuss some fascinating facts about sharks.
E. Preview : Specifically, I will discuss the 3 different types of sharks, and the differencesthey have other than the names they were given, the tiger shark, the hammer-head shark, and the great white shark.

II. BodyA. The Tiger shark
1. Commonly known as sea tiger, the tiger shark is a relatively large predator, capable of attaining a length of over 16 ft. It is found in many tropical andtemperate waters, and is especially common around central Pacific islands. Its name derives from the dark stripes down its body which resemble a tiger's pattern, which fade as the shark matures.2. The tiger shark is mostly a nocturnal hunter. While the tiger shark is considered to be one of the most dangerous sharks to humans, the attack rate is low according to researchers. The tiger sharkis second on the list of number of recorded attacks on humans, with the great white shark being first.
