The Vitria Implementation Process (VIP) is designed to standardize the methodology for building solutions with BusinessWare.The VIP Program allows customers and partners to put BusinessWare to work fast. It combines a proven methodology, project sample and template deliverables, as well as training that supports the team,both internal team members from the customer and external consultants, through the complete system development lifecycle from project initiation to go live.

The VIP Program incorporates Vitria experience in building Business-to-Business (B2B) and Enterprise Application Integration(EAI) solutions. Practical experience and feedback from Vitria customer projects has been incorporated into VIP.

VIP uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML), the emerging industry standard notation used to describecomponent-based systems. Use of UML maximizes clarity and rapid knowledge transfer to partners and clients. VIP also leverages the Unified Software Process, also known as the Rational Unified Process. TheUnified Software Process represents the mainstream of object-oriented methodologies. Technology professionals with experience in other object-oriented methodologies can quickly understand and leveragethe Vitria methodology.
