In the modern era of flight, two brothers from Ohio U.S. achieved just twelve seconds of a 120 feet flight, thissmall lapse represents the efforts of thousands of pioneers, the Wright Brothers had started a endless journey that even today doesn´t stop its searching to overcome thelimits over the days; For Colombia this combination of magic and engineering did not take too much time to landing, in 1919 SCADTA the first German-Colombianairline of South America and the second one in the world, was founded and its first mission was to carry some letters from Barranquilla to Puerto Colombia, some yearslater international routes allowed the country to be recognized around the world so the logical destinies were Venezuela and United States, with the developing of theindustry many technologies changed the aircrafts that flight our country therefore jet planes crossed the skies by the sixties, and the people could cross theAtlantic Ocean without scales, however the main legacy of the aviation to Colombia has been becoming the only possible transportation way to remote towns, in that placeseven DC-3 models that were manufactured in the thirties are the hope to the inhabitants to get the most basic articles and received medical care, the government havecondemned them to forget, despite this rough condition the aviation in those lands have developed its particular way of being, and some reporters has named as“Alcaravanes” making an analogy with this bird species that were not gifted for the mother nature to fly, however they try all its life just for the joy to do it.
