Person of my biography: Edson Arantes do Nascimento also known as Pelé.
Inroduction
Edson Arantes do Nascimiento known as Pelé was a Brazilian soccer player thatwas born at
Tres Coracoes,Brazil in October 21 of 1940. Is regarded as the best known soccer player of all
times , in 1999 he was voted as the Football Player ofthe Century by the IFFHS International
Federation of Football History and Statistics.
Early Life
When he was a kid he used to carry fruit to different places ofthe city because he was really
poor, so poor he was found kicking newspaper balls and oranges. He tried out at many teams
but he was not accepted because he wasvery small. After many years he was finally accepted
at the Brazilian team Santos FC .
Carreer
He started playing with Santos FC at 16 years, he was the idolof the team and called to the
play one World Cup of the FIFA with Brazil at the age of 17 but he could not win 4 years later
he won one WCF for brazil being theyoungest player to win a WCF. He won 2 more WCF for
brazil turning in the player with more WCFs in the history.He won the Word Club
Championship with Santos.What is he doing now
He is now helping the UNICEF as an ambassador. He is helping to sponsor the FIFA World Cup
that will be held at Brazil in 2014 , he is theimage of many different buildings sponsoring the
WCF. He is going to play a game with his old team ,Santos, at the World Club Championship. He
is sponsoring MasterCard etc….
Conclusion
I wrote his biography because he taught me that everything is possible. I also met him when he
came to Mexico City sponsoring Master Card.
