The rhetoric of the revolution lent hope to many outside of the mainstream, those not recognized as full citizens such as women, African Americans and Native Americans, as well as landlesswhite males. Within this framework, Abigail Adams asks her husband to "Remember the Ladies" while working on a code of laws for the potential new country.

* Abigail and as many women, African Americans and Native Americans in that century; each one of that groups they just wanted to be heard, raise their voice and be part of the societyvoting as the men did.
They thought why they are more important than us? If we are all equal and human beings as they are. However, Abigail start to raising her voice with the letter that shewrote to her husband because she thinks that everyone should have the same rights no matter what kind of race are, type of skin color or society. * In my opinion I think that Abigail’s argument was more convincing because she was living with the othersocieties the discrimination, as she mentions, “… which treat us only as the vassals of your sex”. In addition, as an intelligent woman with a lot of potential, she wanted to be heard and enjoythe same rights as men.

Also Abigail mention in her letter, “Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the Husbands. Remember all Men would be tyrants if they could.” She justwanted to make a difference, in the society inasmuch as men took advantage of their power just for being men. Abigail was tired of this situation and express herself was the best decision she made.
