Although it comes from cocaine, paco ismerely a by-product of the drug. It is made up of the chemical residue of coca leaves used to make cocaine which has been produced to be trafficked to the US and Europe. Meanwhile the poorestcommunities of Argentina are left with what has been considered as the ‘rubbish’ of the drug.
It is so low grade and toxic that it’s basically just a mixture of chemicals with no purity to it whatsoever. Itis often mixed with such substances as sulphuric acid, kerosene, rat poison and even crushed glass.

A comienzos del siglo XX Rusia era un país preindustrial, anclado en el pasado, con un predominio absoluto delsector agrícola. La estructura de la propiedad descansaba sobre grandes latifundios en manos de la aristocracia, la Corona, la Iglesia y unos pocos agricultores acomodados. La tierra era trabajadapor campesinos analfabetos. En vísperas de la 1ª Guerra Mundial sólo el 14,5 % de la población vivía en ciudades.
Paradójicamente, el sector agrario era incapaz de proveer de suficientes recursos a lapoblación, dado su carácter primitivo y tradicional, ajeno en gran medida a las transformaciones de la "revolución agrícola" que habían alterado los cimientos económicos de otros países.
