Memorial Day
The country celebrated the last Monday in May, Memorial Day, to remember the contribution of U.S. soldiers killed in action during the various wars inwhich the country participated. Initially, the festival was created to honor the fallen of the Union during the Civil War, but after the First World War was extended to allthe soldiers who lost their lives in the war. Many people visit this day the graves of their deceased relatives, military or not, and it is common for the president of apatriotic speech that day. Since 1911, this day celebrates the career of the famous Indianapolis 500.
