August Comte was a French philosopher, and the founder of sociology. He developed sociology in an attempt to remedy the social malaise left by the French revolution. The discipline waslater formally and academically established. He attempted to introduce a cohesive religion of humanity which, though largely unsuccessful was influential in the development of various secular humanistorganizations in the 19th century. He also created the term altruism. Comte was born at Montpellier, insouthern France. His full name was Isidore Auguste Marie Francois Xavier Comte. He was born on January 17th 1978. He had a law that he call” law of three stages”. The law is this: that each of ourleading conceptions, each branch of our knowledge.
