ALCOHOLISM: one of the strongest addictions that affect many young people today.

Excessive intake of alcohol is a serious problem. Statistics show that 100% of the students of the university whoanswered our survey drink often alcohol or have friends who also do it. 75% of the family’s students drink. The frequency of drinking is very high concern. Most of them recognized that they drink twicea month and an important percent of them (30%) recognize drink every day. Most of students asseverated, they drink out of home, mainly in parties or in their friend’s houses. Beer is mostly the typeof alcohol consumed by them.
The people have different reasons to drink alcohol. Most of the Students who responded the survey asseverated drinking because they just like. However, few students drinkbecause their friends do it. May be that happens because if the drink as the others, they will be accepted by the rest and they will also gain their friendship. There are also psychological reasons.A little percentage of people said that they drink, because it makes them happy and also makes them forget their problems. It is a fact; alcohol gives young people a number of different effects. Someof the effects are that alcohol is a facilitator for emotional expressiveness, disinhibiting, enhancing and social relationships for them, so they feel more confident when they are drinking. A minimumnumber of people admitted they cannot live without drinking.
The amount of alcohol they drink is really high. It doesn’t matter if they drink every day or once a month. Once people drinksregularly and constantly, people will be more tolerant, that means they need increasing amounts of alcohol to feel the effects of drinking in their body. 85% of people admitted had ever been drunk and 70% ofthose people didn’t feel uncomfortable or embarrassed for their excessive alcohol excessive alcohol consumption.
